    Ebuyer - Any Good?

Feel free to shift if it's in the wrong section.

I have heard Ebuyer being mentioned here a good few times, and I'm looking to buy a new latop. They have the best price on it, but I have never used them before. Any feedback from you guys?

I did notice they seemed to go through a bad service period about 5 years back, but any more recent experiences?

50% of the stuff my friend has bought from them has arrived broken. I've bought 2 things and they've been fine.

They're decent though with returns. Something like a laptop should be alright.

Broken!? Every item I got from them from HDD's, LED Fans, 360 Games, Headphones, Blank media has been wrapped in more inflatable packaging than I have ever seen in my life, The LED fans were in a box big enough to fit 10 DVDs in and encased in bubble wrap, then surrounded by the mega air pockets? Every item has had the same style of packaging and was usually delivered by UPS.

I just bought a PC 3d card from them and It came in a box 4X's the size of the product and product was wrapped in inflatable packaging, so no issues from me.
That was my first order with them.

He's bought a 1TB HDD and a motherboard that both arrived faulty. Having made 4 orders that makes 50% of them duff.

I use them all the time. Use the super saver delivery. It's just as fast as the more expensive options most of the time.

As Kats said, if you buy a memory card it will come on the back of a lorry on a pallet forklifted in through your patio doors and it will take you 3 hours to find it in the bubble packaging.....

A HDD I bought failed after 9 months. I sent it back and got a replacement in a couple of days.

When I was getting my PC built a couple of months back, I used them to order the PSU I wanted that was out of stock everywhere else I looked. This was on the Wednesday evening (past 5pm) and I planned to complete the build on the Friday. Item arrived promptly on the Thursday packaged securely.

Would have no problems using them again in the future.

Well I placed my order, but couldn't get free delivery because of "Postcode Restrictions". I'm only in Aberdeen for crying out loud. Still worked out cheaper than anywhere else, but I'm a little peeved by that...

Ebuyer are my favourite online store. They never screw you around with "Oops! Sorry, that's not in stock!" and I often order stuff one night for it to appear the next morning.

Ebuyer are my preffered online store for tech items as they tend to be the cheapest. Never had any issues with damaged goods from them.

Thumbs up from me, but never thought their prices on complete PCs seemed that great.

Another thumbs up from eBuyer. I've bought a lot of kit from them over the years. Components for two PCs and various peripherals. The only thing I've had to return was a set of speakers. They refunded me no problem.
