Transferring Gamer Profile etc to new Xbox without cable

Hi all,
I'm trading my 360 in for the new slimmer model in at HMV tomorrow as they offer the best deal. Have used a 2gb USB memory stick to save all my games and saves across, as assuming HMV won't do this for me even if I provide the cable.

Just wondered what I needed to do regarding gamertag/profile. Should I copy it across to the USB now, or is there some other way I can delete it and restore it on the new unit?

P.S. Also I'm assuming the games and gamesaves will be ok with the new slim on my USB device (as I'm aware it doesn't support memory cards)

You can recover the profile via internet.

And yeah it'll support the games and gamesaves.

I just got one today actually, 5 USB ports is sweet.

I'd highly reccomend transferring your profile to the USB stick, depending on size but even a 20MB profile can take over 30 minutes to recover.

How do you make your profile larger?

I would imagine playing shed loads of games and unlocking those achievements.
Mines is 31mb.

Cheers gents, mine's a measily 4mb, so should be cool, although the new slim design does look a little turd do perhaps I'll keep the old style, hmm...
