    Fixing an RROD 360

We've got a spare RROD 360 here not doing much, launch console. It'd cost ?80 to get it repaired by Microsoft, which is obviously insane - hence it's been sitting here not doing much. I'd quite like to put it to use, however. What are my best options for bringing this thing back to life? Is there someone here on the forums who can do it? Or is this something I can do myself?

    Cheers

I tried the x-clamp fix on my RROD 360. Worked great...for 4-5 months. After that I had to use a heatgun which made it work for another 1-2 months.
No idea if there's a better method at the moment. After the heatgun "fix" it kept getting worse and I threw it away :/

Console Doctor fix RROD for £49.99. I dunno what they're like, but I've just risked sending my 60gb PS3 into them which YLOD'd last week. If I'm happy with their work on the PS3, I'm contemplating sending my Elite in for repair too as there are now a couple of Xbox 360 titles I'd love to catch up on.
