I was being sarcastic, sorry. A backup and Restore would likely result in a nice speedy mac again I reckon. Always works for me.

I figured as much, just saying I think safari is sh*t anyway lol.
I've tried wiping it before... leopard/snow leopard just made this mac go slowwww. It used to be nippy as hell on tiger.Comment

Money cleared last night so I went to the apple store again, bought my MacBook Pro. All good i think!
I get in... green line down the middle of the screen. It had a GPU error.
I actually shouted "FOR F**KS SAKE" at that point. Had to drive back, but I got the guy in the store to sit there and check everything over with me to make sure it was all okay...
And i'm typing on my brand new, perfect 15" MacBook Pro i7.
FINALLY!!

I find the glossy screen too glossy, the older glossy screens weren't too bad. I couldn't stand the screen on my iMac so it went back (stuck to the Mac Mini instead!)Originally posted by Synthesthesia View Post

A part of why I don't like the anti-glare is the fact that it replaces the Black glass part with silver plastic...it ruins the aesthetic of it IMO. But I also prefer the Better colours/blacks and sharpness the glossy screen gives.Comment
