Its really quite simple. The guy was asking for opinions on what to buy when he goes to a place.

Rather than actually giving your opinions on what is available a a good price there, you attacked his choice of holiday destination. Its really no different (apart from the reference to 3000+ dead bodies) to entering a "which new PS2 game should I buy?" thread to inform the questioner that the PS2 "Sucks" and they should have bought an XBox instead.

Yeah sure, I understand what you're saying - but others made no reference to what he should buy in New York either, instead stating that New York is a great place, has great food etc..

There lies my confusion, it seems you can divert somewhat off-topic providing you don't say anything critical.
Anyway, it's no big deal. I'm forever coming across human behaviour which I cannot conclude...

      so on with the show.

In Q&A it should simply be that, questions and answers. Weightgain should expect to be able to click on his thread where he posted for help and find sensible answers, none came until Papercut suggested a Nuon by which time WG had understandably gotten fed up at the spammy replies.

What you say makes sense, so fair enough.

I live here (and I bet you have a great time ).

IMO, there's nowhere really to pick up any special stuff, though everything new generally tends to be about 2/3 of the price in the UK after sales tax. Second hand stuff tends to be pretty cheap too.

I'd say pick up a US cube if you don't already have one. Just reduced to $99, so a real bargain. And animal crossing of course!
