Has to be a slim psu though as the connector is different.

With the older 360 psu's ebay or forum trading folders were a good bet but haven't seen any slim psu's come up for sale. Maybe because of the newness and improved reliability.

Guess you could call MS to see if they'd sell you one.

Failing that you could use a step-down I guess but not such a neat solution.

bit if a pain, though I now have MS customer service number, so might give them a call.
          thanks for the replies!

Can a UK PSU be used in a JP Jasper Arcade?

            Thanks.

Provided it's a UK Jasper PSU, yes. Heads-up for baad bwoy that if you go down the step-down router, if the S is anything like past models, you will need a beast of a step-down too.

Pretty sure you can use any 'full fat' UK 360 PSU with a Jasper (203w, 175w, 150w variations)?
I use a 175w (Xenon?) psu with my US Jasper.

Sorry yeah, probably could've been a little more specific. I was just trying to point out that if you've a UK launch PSU that it's not going to work.

Sorry if it sounded like I was nitpicking. It wasn't my intention!

A launch 203w psu will work fine with a Jasper though, but you can't do it the other way around (a 150w Jasper psu can't be used with a launch 360).

                    Edit:

Just found this on a 'deconstructing' the Jasper article which explains the whole 360 psu situation a lot better than I have:

Above we see the power port of the Jasper 360. Note how it has a slit in the middle of the top plastic bar. The plugs on the PSU's are designed in a way to be forwards not backwards compatible. That is, an original 203W PSU will fit in any Xbox 360, but because of these 'keying", a new 150W PSU will only fit in an Jasper. Likewise a Falcon PSU will fit in a Jasper but not vice-versa.

Thanks for the replies and information. I'm going to be buying a JP Jasper Arcade, my PAL 360 has the manufacture date 2007-11-07, would it's PSU work?

I would prefer using a UK Jasper PSU though to save switching them every time. Is contacting MS the best option?

                      Thanks.

Your PAL psu will be fine

If you are looking to pick up a Jasper psu I'd suggest creating a wanted ad in trading or looking at ebay - approx. £15 delivered for a new one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Xbox-360-Power...Accessories_JN

I'd imagine if MS do sell them then they'll do so at a premium.

Just had another question, are the ones on eBay definitely official products? Were any 3rd party ones made?

This is the one I am getting: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=200511815935

                            Thanks.

Not sure if there are 3rd party ones but I'd guess most of the ones on ebay are official (makes a change I know).

It's not uncommon for ebay sellers to buy a load of 360's and then sell off all the bits (pad, hdd etc.) off seperately for a profit*

The listing you are looking at states it is an official MS psu and the plastic bag in the pic is consistent with those used with bundled psu's. Don't think you'll have any problems tbh.

Edit: *having looked at the seller's other items that looks exactly what he's doing.
