iPlayer on NTSC Wii in U.K

I'm sure this has been asked many times and have seen some answers on other forums, but thought I'd try and get a definitve response.
I am considering picking up an NTSC Wii but am in the UK. Can I install the BBC Iplayer on my Wii? Do I need to use anyregionchanger etc. or can I do it without changing the shop region?

I'd imagine you'd have to change the shop region so it installs. The player itself is ip locked so it wouldn't work if you were not in the uk

Google 'iplayer force pal60 wad'. This is a patched version that works on NTSC-U consoles in the UK. The wad is region free anyway but there were problems running it due to it only running when forced to PAL. This version can be run straight from the channel without faffing around.
