Question: Using the hard drive transfer kit with a 360S

    Hi all,

I've got a fake 360 transfer kit here and when I used it on my 360S with my old 360 hard drive, it only recognised the hard drive as a USB device and wants to format it. I'm not sure whether the official one is simply a SATA-USB converter but that's what this one appears to be. It comes with a disc (mini DVD-R which I imagine has Xplorer 360 on it).

    So my question is:

Has anyone here used the transfer kit with their 360S? The NXE has support for transferring content and I assumed this is a direct replacement for the discs that came with the kits originally. I used it to move my profiles from this old hard drive to the 4GB internal memory.

I can't access the drive using this fake kit and I think it's because of the actual circuitry inside the kit so the 360 is ignoring the drive because it's not a regular FAT32 setup.

It's not too big a deal if it doesn't work, as I could just move the important stuff to the 4GB and redownload everything else (there's not much, really).

I might be doing a licence transfer later which I think means I have to redownload stuff anyway?

    Cheers
