Wi-fi dongle for PC - recommendations?

    Howdy y'all

Having reinstalled XP recently I can no longer get my PC to find the router with a wired connection (Ubuntu works fine). Rather than prat about I thought I'd just get a usb wi-fi dongle and connect that way.

    Any recommendations?

    TIA

Just get a cheap belkin or something along those lines. So long as you avoid the brandless chinese ones, I've never noticed much difference between dongles.

I always prefer WAPs anyway, no need to faff around with drivers.

I recommend installing the network drivers for your motherboard.
It happens to many people installing XP, especially if it's just service pack 2 on the disc.
Ubuntu is better for that sort of thing.

Sorry if this is all obvious to you.

If you don't have them on CD, then get them while on ubuntu or grab them while at work to a usb stick or something.
