What TV should I get

My daughter's managed to smear some sort of sugary sticky substance over my RPT. As a result the screen is now stained to **** and I need to see if my claim will be accepted.

As much as I love a huge TV, a rpt is not the best option when you have a 3-year old child. Can anyone recommend a good solid TV for watching DVDs and playing games on?

What's the budget mate? This is the deciding factor really.

I would have thought, they'll give me rates based on current prices and not what I originally paid. So we are looking at around 1,000 -1,500. I may add cash as well

If you intend to spend money like that on a CRT TV theres a few options.

Panasonic PD30
Toshiba PF2
JVC P models (coming soon)

As with all TV's they all have minor faults/niggles.
Your best bet (for a more informed appraisal) is to visit www.avforums.com.

I'm hanging on for the release of the new JVC's myself before I get a new CRT.
