PS2 dead - please help

It's a V9 and has never missed a beat. Thought it might be the stepdown, but it's not. Symptoms are very simple - no power light, no nothing. Where do I start?

As you are using a stepdown we must assume it is an import.
It might be easiest to replace the PSU with a UK one if everything externally checks out.

I've probably got one if needed.

I've had it apart, there's a fuse on the PSU but it looks intact. I don't know if it would be obvious if it blew and I don't have a multimeter. I'm guessing it's the PSU but no idea how to tell for sure.

Does a UK PSU retro-fit a US PS2? I might try to get hold of one.

Is the power unit buzzing or getting overly hot? That's often a big sign of it failing.

You'll need a V9 UK PSU.
