Plyaing Xbox Originals from a USB Stick on the 360

Can this be done, I have a 4GB slim with a couple of 16GB USB pens plugged into it. I've seen a couple of xbox original games that my son wants to play from the downloadable list on Xbox live but before I went and wasted 1200 points I wanted to check if they can be saved to USB storage and played from USB storage storage?

Probably not to USB, having an HDD is a requirement of backwards compatible 360 and I don't think that ever changed. You can't copy save games or dlc from xbox originals to any other storage so I'm guessing the same can be said for the games.
