Samba Maracas on Lik-Sang - any good?

Having missed out on Samba I'm keen to get hold of a copy and some maracas and have a go. Are these crappy maracas, or worth the $30?

EDIT: Also seen these on Play Asia http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...5-maracas.html

    Apparently these are pretty good.
I've seen some blue one's but there supposed to be not very good.
I managed to get some official ones..yeh!
so I've NOT tried the unofficial ones but I have heard the cha cha (red) ones are good.

The game improves immensely with the maracas, so do try and get some

      Thanks doodledude.

The blue ones are on Lik Sang as well, but unavailable at the mo.

Anybody got any firsthand experience with these red maracas?

I have two sets of the Cha Cha maracas, and they are pretty crap. You can apparently change the sensors in them to improve their sensitivity, but as standard they don't have the same kind of range as the official ones. They miss loads of shakes, or mis-register the high-mid-low position, unless you rigdely stick to the same horizontal position. This is not a problem with the officials.

I paid the extra and got a set of official maracas, and they're well worth the extra. Btw, your two links are the same product. You get what you pay for in terms of quality.

        Regards
        Marty

I have got the cheapo red ones from Lik San, and have also played with the official maracas.

The only difference I noticed is you have to shake the unofficial maracas a tad harder.

Yeah, they're all right. Only problem I've found is none seem to work properly when you've got two hooked up. I'd assume they interfere with each other... haven't bothered with two-player since, we (missus and I + family) just take it in turns
