    Wondermega on a hdtv?

I have had my wondermega rgb modded and the results on a crt have been excellent.

However when I hooked it up to my hdtv the colour is all wrong; the green background on Sonic 2 is black for example.

I realise that the output won't be as good as with a crt but the picture I'm getting is messed up.

    Any ideas?

That's weird, can you take a picture?

If there's an RGB issue (say that Green wasn't getting enough voltage somehow), the entire screen would be lacking in Green, not just selective parts of the picture. Is that the case?

It maybe the green channel is dead, first thing, make sure the scart is in properly and the pins are fine in it.
Then open the scart and make sue the green is fine inside that.
If they are fine it could be inside the machine. That's a whole new thing, but check the above.

Just a slight bump for this thread!

My problem hasn't changed but things are now even more confusing!

I picked up a 14 inch Sony Tinitron and I have the same problem as when hooking it up to my hdtv. However the picture is fine when it's hooked up to my widescreen crt.

This is causing me no end of pain so any help is appreciated!

Do you know if there at any resistors on the RGB signals? You may see them in the scart plug, or they could be tucked in the console. Any idea what signal was used for the Sync signal? It mentions here http://www.gamesx.com/grafx/wondermega.jpg about colour problems unless the S-vid Luminance signal is used for sync (if this wasn't used, then it might need an extra capacitor and resistor added to the sync signal)

            Thanks for the reply mate!

I had someone do the mod for me so I'm not even sure what work was done exactly.

It would be safe to say that I'm a bit out of my depth here!

Would there be anyone on the forum willing to take a look for me?
