Screen burn

Had my Xbox on most of the day, just switched to my PS3 to watch some playtv and there's a rather glaringly large burn in of an upgrade offer from the 360's dashboard showing up against the green XMB.

Can anyone tell me whether or not it's a temporary deal as it's really bugging me

Plasma? Probably just retention rather than burn.

Hopefully it is retention, but it's not a plasma set

Edit: Seems to be retention thank god, turned the power to the TV off for about 10 minutes and it's a lot less noticeable than it was.

What LCD is that out of interest?
Contrary to popular belief, LCDs CAN get screen burn of a sort, but as you've seen most of it is just temporary retention.

i once had image retention on a samsung lcd f71, with the sega saturn logo.

didnt last for long through
