New AV Amp recommendations

Looks pretty new (Even showing new on the Yamaha website) so it doesn't look like there are any bargains for it. Which is a shame, because my wifes face when I showed her that price wasn't terribly positive.

Yeah. Weymouth Hi-Fi and HomeAV both had it for that - called HomeAV, they were out of stock but they expect them in tomorrow and I should have it on Friday all going well.

I'd definitely go for the 667 if I were in the market.

Agree seems the one at the minute had for around ?300, I have a 763 and it is a badass bit of kit.

OK, not crappy but not that great. I have some old Mordaunt Shorts ones (don't have the model numbers to hand) that I'll be replacing as soon as I can - the amp is phase 1 of the overhaul. ^_^

In other news, the amp is sitting at home waiting for me!

Still not picked my amp

Did order my Monitor Audio BR5's though only for ****y Link to drop them delivering them up my stairs & consequently obliterate more or less one whole speaker

I'm currently trying to claim my money back which has been going on since before Christmas & is stopping me from buying anything else while I try to source something for the same money to replace them.

I'd say that the Onkyo is a bit better, but then the Onkyo isnt ?164 Delivered

Yarr for that price how can one fail, looks a deal. I'd always buy a Yamaha product over Onkyo.
