Can you hack the Ps2 hard drive

Now that the hard drives are avaliable for the Ps2 will it be possible to play roms, install games/movies etc like what the hackerz/home brewers have done with the Evo-x/Xbox?

Cant seem to find any info on this, dont know if anyone else knows better?

Probably not, since the PS2 boots from a bios, rather than a hdd program. In the xbox, you simply replace that program on the hdd, the PS2 would require a BIOS flash...so to contravene myself it's quite possible, but would require more work.

Why you would want to though is a totally different story...
