Can anyone chip my V3 PAL PS2 ?

    Hi

I was going to chip it myself but have decided not to. I was wondering how much it would cost to fit one of these Matrix MXL chips in my console.

Or would it be easier to just sell my console and buy a new one with a chip fitted already. If I did sell it how much would I get for it ?

    Cheers

well mod chip installers tend not to mod older machines as theres a chance they'll break especially the lens on the drive unit. plus there harder to mod.

you'd be better off getting a newer model ps2 premodded with messiah 2

Mod chip installers won't install chips in older models because they don't want any complaints from pirating costumers, who mess up their PS2's with burnt games. I've got a V3 PS2, bought on launch-day, and I've had a Messiah in it for six months now, and it's been running imports and debug games with no trouble at all. I can even get online with no trouble!

I gave up trying to get my ver4 chipped, so i sold it and brought a new one. Its probably the best way to do it (expensive though ), but worth it.

Got a V2 US PS2 chipped with a messiah2 no probs, m8 checked the laser at the same time, and said there were no probs with it, and plenty of life left. It pays to look after your toys
