The Core Grafx is on the way from Japan, I was trying to get a PSU in advance as I bought it without a Japanese plug knowing a MD1 would work. (I read)

How much was the Core Grafx mate?

I'm after one myself, decided I probably wouldn't use the CD part of the PC Engine.

I paid $40 (US) from Japan and shipping was $38 EMS and that included 6 games I bought. About £78 for core grafx and controller, 5 golf games and Daisenpu. Pretty good tbh. (Hit-Japan on ebay)

GG/SMS/MD all use the same PSU so it will be fine.

It will also run:

Some Neo Geo AES units
Super Famicom
Jaguar
AV Famicom
PCE/Core I/Core II
Turbografx-16

With the mega drive psu's ,what it says as the output is bollox,as it can and does output as much as 12Vcc (volts(check it with a multimeter )) because it's an unregulated supply. Try and get yourself a regulated supply @9 Vcc (volts) centre negative @ about 1 amp.

But saying that though,the core grafx's voltage regulator knocks that down to 5 Vcc (volts ) internally .

So you can use the sega ones ,even a jaguar uk power supply works.

You are going to RGB mod it aswell ,to get the best picture from it ?
