I wouldn't recommend trying to save money on power supplies, cheap ones have a history of faults, you really do get what you pay for.
For £30 and those requirements, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything, most only have a single SATA. You'd be much better off spending £60 on a Corsair branded one.Last edited by Rep; 25-12-2010, 12:42.

650w is WAY more than you need. In real terms even a high end desktop with a single high end gpu isn't going to draw more than 400w unless heavily overclocked with inefficient parts. 3 sata power connectors isn't going to be more than 10w each you realise.
Do yourself a favour and buy a Corsair.
Buy the best 401W - 500W Power Supply Units from Ebuyer. Benefit from great value prices and free delivery!
The PSU is the single _most_ important part of your PC so you should _never_ buy an unbranded one. Imho.
People who buy 1000w PSUs are complete idiots, unless they have like 4 GPUs, 20 HDDs etc.Last edited by speedlolita; 25-12-2010, 13:16.

430w is fine mate.
I used to run a E4400 @ 3GHz (50% overclock), 9800GTX+, 4GB RAM, 3x SATA HDDs, 1x DVD-RW, sound card, 4 120mm fans and 1 200mm fan on a Corsair 450w. Full load draw was still only about 250w.
They're also 50w rated under wattage compared to other brands.
I can't recommend them highly enough. As I say, high numbers mislead people into buying stupid wattages.

Glad to hear it. The PSU is extremely important and often just an afterthought for many people.
