    Not another MVS QUESTION........sigh :)

    Ello peeps,

    2 questions really

I am heavily considering buying a NEO GEO MV 1 SLOT to connect to my jamma Golden axe arcade cab (i got it for ?30......YES C'mon Friday AD)
in order to play some MVS games. (well duh)

    1. i may be over precausious but do i need to worry about voltage on the NEO GEO MV 1 SLOT or is it just plug into the jamma harness and play?

    2. i will most likely be buying the adapter and a few games from www.coinopexpress.com are they any good? or do u guyz know anywhere better.

    Cheers

    1. No need to worry about voltage a voltage on the neo board as ALL jamma boards are standard (all 1 slot MVS boards are jamma).

The main issue will be sound and buttons.
Jamma is mono sound as standard and some MVS boards have mono/ stereo switches on them (my MV-1F does). So make sure the board you buy has a mono/ stereo sound switch or you will damage your cabinets speakers. The other problem is that Neo Geo usese a 4 button standard where as most Jamma PCB's use a 3 button standard. You could get the place you buy the supergun from to wire the 4th button up for you or you could do it yourself (ther are lots of instructions on the net).

    2. Coin op express are ok but charge a lot in shipping they are also based in the US I think.

I would recommend http://www.uberia.co.uk/ they will anser ALL your questions before you buy and are UK based, I have nothing but positive feedback from people who own superguns from them and the guy who runs the site is a top chap. Plus the guns start from only ?80.

You will still have to make sure if you have a stereo board that you make sure the Stereo / Mono switch is on Mono otherwise you'll get no sound.

Most JAMMA cabinets are 3 button, if it's 4 then it's likely to be wired up for Neo Geo. If its 5 or 6 then the chances are it won't be, so you'll have to wire the 4 button up otherwise you'll find certain beat 'em ups hard to play...
