limited connectivity in windows 7

got a wireless dongle 802.11g that connects to a router ...works fine in windows xp but in vista and 7 keeps going to limited connection

got updated drivers and reset the router etc but no joy so far

Go into the device settings and disable ip v6 maybe

Check windows 7 is set to automatically get an IP, check that the router isn't expecting to give that system a fixed IP.

Check the XP system to see if you have to manually configure the DNS settings, if you do, put the settings in the 7 system, else make sure the 7 system is set to fetch DNS settings automatically.

Two most likely things I can think of.

cheers will give them a try....did the disable ip v6 didnt make much of a difference but will give the copying ip address across a go
