Selling my 360. Questions.

Just looking for some final peace of mind before I throw my 360 on ebay.

Haven't looked yet, but taking my Master account off of the machine should be easy, right?

With that done, will the new owner be able to play any downloaded titles on the HD?

Anything else I should do?

Then log in and download games for new user, then delete account?

I wondered if having a lot of the purchased DLC on there would boost my chances of a better sale.

It's tied to a combination of the hard drive and the user account, so I don't think you're going to be able to safely sell the licenses. If they boot the 'full' game without the relevant user account, they'll just get the demo version.

That isn't completely true at least from my experience, the game licenses are tied to one machine at a time, you can either download to that machine and then play with any account, or you can play with them on another machine as long as you play with the account you downloaded them with. So if you were to get a new xbox you would not be able to transfer the licenses to this machine (if you wanted the person who got your 360 to be able to play the content). That is the way it worked when I recently got my new 360 anyway, I can still play the games on both with different accounts, but when I go round my sisters on my old machine I have to sign in on my gamertag except for those games I bought on that console, she can play them on her account on the same machine.

It will be best to test this first but that is how it is for me.

All you need to do is delete your gamertag.

A: Anything downloaded on that console will function as purchased on that machine only.

B: If things were Downloaded on an older, broken 360 then the license needs to be transferred to let them work once your tag is gone. Do that on xbox.com before you delete your tag from the machine
