Dolphin Emu and a Real GC controller

Hopefully you guys can help me before I rip my hair out. I received my GC/N64 to USB adaptor today.

Now windows can happily see the controller and and all buttons work fine, however in Dolphin the analogue stick and c-stick cant be recognized.

Googling isnt helping.
