Component cables, prog scan questions

My friend just got a looooooovely projector <3

So.
He asked me to find some cables for him.
It supports prog scan, and doesn't have any SCART inputs anyway, so I think I should get him some component cables.

Would you recommend these?

XBox

The PS2 one's 3rd party... and it seems way too cheap compared to the others.

Also:
He's got a US Cube, so we're ok there.

XBox: Can you chip a PAL one to enable prog scan? I think I heard you could, but I may have been wrong.

PS2: Will the PAL one output prog scan from the few games that support it? I would assume it does, as it's not done in hardware.

Also, I think he'd need a splitter, something like this:

It seems a bit cheap and cheerful though, and I'm guessing it might degrade the picture somewhat.

Anyway, I'm really looking for some uber-high quality products.
Please feel free to point me in better directions.

Here we go:

For Xbox, get hte microsoft hi-def cable from www.dvdboxoffice.com or www.tronixweb.com or you find them on ebay occasioanlly.

For Gamecube, get the nintendo official cable from www.play-asia.com

or from Lik-sang as you have pointed out.

For PS-2 get the Ixos cable from here:

If you mod the Xbox you can use the video selector disc to select progressive scan but remember to add a switch for Xbox Live playing.

PS-2 with progscan on PAL is a bit iffy some works like Tekken but getaway has issues. Progressive SCAN on US PS-2 games works perfectly though.

Also for a selector look at www.copperbox.com they have an audio athority box but it isn't cheap, I've got one and love it.

Never seen that before. Is it better than the official one?
