In response to all the email and PM queries about these new machines, I've now got stock of the new Messiah 2 mods for these machines. They work on both the new Silver model (the one that comes with 2 silver contollers and is supposed to be Limited Edition, but seems to be on sale everywhere
) and the new black model, which is around a lot in the shops this week too. Either of these new models can be identified by the product designation SCPH-5000X (where X can be any number). These are, as I'm sure you all know, the ones with the quieter fan, progressive scan for movies and no more firewire port on the front.
The price for modding stays the same at ?65, but for all those who have used or are planning to use the while-you-wait service, be aware that these new version PS2s are much trickeir to mod, so I'm quoting 90 minutes for the job rather than an hour as before.
As for premods, provisional prices are ?210 for the silver model, and ?195 for the black model.
Also, I have my last old model premod for sale - it's a brand new V7, and is at a one-off price of ?175. More details of this will be posted in the For Sale forum too.
