    PSP analogue nub

Does anyone know a fix for this as mine is just behaving crazy. I've replaced the nub and the rubber contact patch and it still goes all over the place

replace the analogue stick itself, only about £3 on ebay.

You mean you have changed the entire joystick (as pictured below) and it is still doing the same...

If you have, then I would look at the Dpad next on my list.

I found I'd get that sometimes if I screwed the PSP shut too tightly. Loosen the screws on the back of the PSP around the right side(when looking at the back, so basically the screws around where the analogue nub is).

Although this probably depends on your PSP type - which version is it? Original(1000), lite(2000) or slim&lite(3000)?

Give it a go. If you find it behaves itself when the case is looser, just tighten the screws bit by bit until you find a spot that stops the nub mucking about but also keeps the casing secure enough.

yep i replaced the whole lot. Though the replacement nub never felt as smooth as the original for some reason.

I've tried tightening and loosening the case and it has made a small difference but still shooting off

BTW it is the original phat version but its minty fresh and i dont want to buy another one as im sure its a simple fix.

Well if you have replaced the entire nub and loosened the screws, the only thin left is the contact to the board or the board itself.

It's been years since I saw the inside of an original phat but have a look at the rubber bit:

                Is it damaged at all?
