Nintendo Scarts Work, Sega Scarts Dont. ??

I've finally set up most of my consoles in our newly created attic, but - as the title suggests - while Cube, N64 and SNES all work fine, the DC and the Saturn give no picture and only a little sound when starting up. (The Saturn worked the first time I set it up, then the DC didn't and after that the Saturn would not work. ) I have not tried the Playstation yet.

Does anyone have any suggestions, please? (I know I haven't muddled up the cables ...)

Do a search on Saturn SCART, already gone through this several billion times.

    Ooh okay...

Make sure your connecting the SCART cable directly to the TV so you can discount any interference from SCART extenders or switchers.

    If it still don't work...

Open up the SCART lead for the saturn (normally screw off holder and prise apart the SCART end) and look at Pin 16, there is probably a Resistor here, twist the legs together (to effectively get 0 Ohmns) and you should find it will now work. For neatness you could remove the Resistor completely. If pins 8 and 16 are connected then twist the resistor or let me know.

The Saturn has a piddly voltage going via Pin 16 and some TVs treat this like there is no RGB going to it...

Thanks MD - I'll try it if I have the courage. It's strange though because the Saturn and Dreamcast had worked on the same tv before.

Could it be a similar problem with the Dreamcast?

And, please dont laugh, but where do I start counting - left/right,top/bottom to get to pin 16?
