Is this games needed to play 1,2,3,4 or I can jump to Yakuza 3 and 4 on PS3.

Should I buy 3 and 4 or go to 4 for first time.

3 has videos for all the back stories and stuff. I missed out on the PS2 ones and started with 3 no problem.

the stories are so vast, that you could start on any of them and enjoy the game

I haven't played 4 yet, but as far as I'm concerned 1 & 2 are much better than 3. Worth playing just because they're great games - and as a nice side effect you'll have a better understanding of the story and crazy characters (although the recap at the beginning of 3 is surprisingly comprehensive).

You also punch a tiger in the face.

Get Ryu ga Gotoku KENZAN while you're at it. It's Yakuza set in medieval Japan, by the same team with (mostly) the same characters.

I wonder if the same happened with Zettai Zetsumei 4. It's publish date was in about 3 weeks, which imply blueray printing.

Someone posted pics of their stock along with the Kamutai disc's, looks like most stores are returning them though, just need to hear whether my seller on Rakuten has received his and whether he's going to ship it.

If I could only choose 2 i'd go with this as well, 2 is arguably the best in the series in regards to story and 4 is a lot faster paced than 3, main story is a bit shorter though. If you've enough time then try to play all 4 as it will give you a better understanding of the characters and plotlines, all 4 of the main games are quality and well worth your time tbh.

I just did an ebay search for Ryu ga Gotoku Of The End, there are a few different sellers who seem to have the game, the one i just looked at says its released tomorrow, so I presume he will be sending copies out now?

Im tempted to give it a go actualy, its a good price and I cant imagine it will get a release here any time soon, if ever.

I would try to import OF THE END, but I'm sure it'll get a release eventually, and be localised. Based on the demo, there's a ton of very tricky language specific stuff (like the woman who gives you specific goals).

Hmm, Kenzan should be in there somwhere. Not played 4 yet, but I enjoy Kenzan more than 3. Love em all though.

No, but I guess anything depicting Japan in a post-apocalyptic setting is frowned upon. Personally I think it's a knee-jerk reaction, but them's the breaks.
