Ps3/psp remote play problem

Never really bothered with this till now. Got it all setup with no problems. Until I turn off the psp...
I can get the ps3 to turn off via the psp, but when I turn off the psp the ps3 turns on!
Is this supposed to happen or am I missing something?

No, that's definitely not supposed to happen.

You end remote play with "quit and turn off the PS3 system"?
