    Xbox 360 joypad 'issues'

    Ok so issue 1

Left hand analogue stick stuck in the up position. Well no stuck but seems to have a notch that it slips into. Only some games seem sensitive it. Joypad has been taken to pieces and nothing obvious apart from this movement in to the none neutral position.

    Issue 2 (on different joypad)

X button sticks - again joypad has been taken apart but nothing obvious..

    Soooooo anyone have any ideas?

Not an answer, but my 360 pads often disconnect, even when sitting very close to the 360. It p1ssed me off to the point I bought a wired pad.

I've had numerous pads do the slight movement in certain games. On fallout it used to drive me mad and also shooters where it would randomly take me up the screen.

Nothing i tried to do made any difference

I have an issue where my left analog stick seems to be stuck in the up position even though it's in the neutral position.

Guess it's just Microsofts crappy hardware.

Yeah, it's an issue with all analogue sticks when they age, I think. Personally, mine goes towards the left. (WINK WINK.)

Usually games will program it so that that first 1mm (or whatever) of movement doesn't actually do anything and so we don't notice it, but then it's REALLY noticeable in games that don't account for it.

It's not too noticable for me, as the only games I play with a pad are racers and the DW: Gundam games. It just gets annoying occasionally when you're in a menu.
