    Soul Calibur 2 | Help!

    Hey fellas.

I'm trying to get a good score on NGC Im the best competition.

But i'm having a few problems with SC2.

Challenge one, Survivor mode, basic weapons, 35 kills to qualify. I' having some real problems getting to 20 let alone 35!

Has anybody got any good tactics? As this is very very hard.

The other one is Time Trial. Less than 3m30sec. I can get about 2:40, butothers are getting 2:15. That's where I need o be heading.

I know most of you are pretty 'elite' at fighting games, and SC2, in particular. So do you think you could help me?

Might be some candy in it for you.

    Cheers.

    Scott

If it's normal weapons you're limited to, I'd suggest using Link, knock your opponent over and then use his (incredibly annoying to someone who has the XBox version like me) move where he jumps with his sword facing downwards repeatedly, it'll hit him on the floor and is so quick your opponent will barely be able to move before each hit. Lame as hell I know, but I'm sure it'd work :P

I can't really be sure of the above (I generally get my arse whupped when playing against Link at a mate's house), so my next suggestion would be to use a LOT of Nightmare's horizontal attacks, which almost always knock your opponent over if you're running. Once they're down, hit them with a running vertical repeatedly to keep 'em down :P

        hey dude.

Cheers for the advice, but it didn't work!

Can anyone else give me some advice for getting 35 kills?

Wen someone attacks how do you counter? That might help.

You have to push forward / away and guard at either the moment they hit, or a split second before so that your weapon is brought up just as their attack should be connecting. I don't know if the truly great players can pull this off every time, but I have so much difficulty doing it that I rarely try anymore, usually only works 1 in 10 times for me.

I think that rather than trying to recommend strategies which can be difficult to pull off, you should practice a lot with your favourite character until you learn their best moves and tactics off by heart. I'd suggest Link, as he's more powerful than any other character if you ask me, with Sophitia's speed and Nightmare's strength.

          I hate him ft:

If you want to start using the Guard Impact remember that the decision to parry or repel is in part determined by the attacks your opponent uses.

To Repel attacks (push opponent away as you counter their attack) you press Forward + G

To Repel attacks (move opponent to your side opening up an opportunity for a side throw potentially) your press Away + G.

However, the Guard Impact system is slightly different in SC2 over SC1 in that the Repel only works against High and Mide property attacks and Parry only works against attacks with Mid and Low property.

Also, it might help if we knew which character you were using, then people who use that character could give you advice.

I was using Rapheal. As he's extremely quick.

Also, the guy with the orb in his stomach. I was using the same attack, forward and Y. To hit them back really far.

Cervantes and Nightmare are other charcaters i'm pretty good with.
