Chipping a DC to make it multiregion, I mean . Is it difficult or easy? My first attempt at chipping (last summer), left me with a busted PSone , so I'm understandably a little cautious . I've already got a DC-IE, but I'm sick of disk-swapping.

Just make sure it's an NTSC DC you've got, because the games won't run in 60Hz unless it's an NTSC machine...

Some NTSC-J/NTSC-U games will run at 60hz and some don't on a chipped PAL DC.

There is no set pattern though.
