    ebuyer - avoid

Made an order a few days ago, scheduled to deliver by today, went into the site to look at status and its still awaiting processing, all the items I had ordered said 'on order' despite the fact they were all in stock, bit strange for something thats meant to be delivered today I thought.

So I sent a message to ask what was happening, no response after several hours, so then I tried to phone them - I tried again and again and waited and waited but nobody picked up.

I have now cancelled the order and emailed them asking to wipe my account from their database as I have no intention of ever ordering from their ****e company.

Absoloute waste of time - don't use this company ft:

eBuyer can be the best, can be the worst!

I've used them a few times... they are notoroiusly bad for shipping, or order packing... or something, I can't remeber exactly sorry...

But, they've got some good prices, and some good products and they are generally quite popular!

i made an order out @ the weekend, for a couple of fans and a couple of 120gbmaxtor HD's - all on one order - all in stock, fans turned up on time (predicted date) (wed)- HD's didn't get here till today - still pleased tho, very cheap, courier delivery, well packed items

After experiences of myself and others, I user Ebuyer for odds and sods I'm in no great hurry for, and other places like Komplett (whose RMA procedures I cannot fault) for more important stuff.

I agree with stu, use them for things like rounded IDE cables, fans, or the odd LED, but I've never bought anything like a HDD or case from them...

My friend made his entire PC with parts from eBuyer though, so it may be a little pot luck.

I have ordered about 7 times from ebuyer and everything was shipped on time and arrived on time. Plus there prices are great. One of the best shopping websites around for hardware. All my e-mails were answered too. You seem to have just had bad luck. Did you order over the weekend? Cos they shut down every Friday at about 5 till Monday.

                Most companies deliver on time.

It's how they react to returns helps define their reliability.

I ordered during the week, tuesday or wednesday it was with projected delivery date friday.

Some of the stuff looks cheap (their own brand stuff) though after cancelling my order I found the monitor ?12 cheaper at a few places. I ended up buying the model above from Amazon.

I can accept it was just bad luck but there are plenty of other suppliers around so I won't be using ebuyer again.

I've had problems in the past with them, and i wouldnt order again

Basically, to get a refund for a fault product, i had to take them to court.

                      Yes they suck.
My HD is about to pack in.
I sent one of them ****ty enotes, which took a week to get a reply.
I got a copy and paste job telling to return it, and had my thread closed.
So rude. Now returning wouldn't be so bad. Except I live in N.I.

Ebuyer fleace us. So I have to send it to them, with insured delivery.
That'll be about ?5, and I have to send ?5 to have them return it. But!
Oh no! Ebuyer charge ?15 extra for delivery to N.I. for no reason.
It doesn't cost any extra to send stuff here. It's rediculous.

So if I want my HD replaced, it's gonna cost me ?25.
                      And that.....is ****. So **** them.

Sounds like your hard disc was working in the first place which means they don't have to replace anything by law, so count yourself lucky they accept any returns within a certain amount of days. Did you read the terms and conditions about returns its usually a good thing to read when you buy online. Most online stores will replace the item for any reason within a certain time but you have to pay the postage unless of course its broken when they sent it to you which means they should give you the postage back. Just make sure you stick a letter in with your return saying what your postage costs were.

So what about 12 month warranties?

btw, Komplett accepted a return on a stick of Corsair XMS (the new stuff with forced SPD timings, so you don't have to fiddle with them in the bios) and gave me a full refund, just because I said it was unstable in my system (which it was, as a known issue - pity I didn't know before ordering).

Well actually you do, its something like 3 months, for any faults to appear + 12 months guarentee, WHICH YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CONTACT THE HARDWARE VENDOR FOR...just so you know

So in first xmonths they have to replace it, after that, a repair
