I've been playing that loads since getting the 9800 Pro. It absolutely flies at that res. And looks incredible.

In all honesty, theres not much point in playing over 1024, the average monitor could handle 85hz at that res, any less and games just wont be fluid. Why people say they want to play at 1600 by whatever, and have 8FSA and 16ASF is simply because they want to brag. A 9800 pro will fly happily at 1024, with say 4AF and 4AA, because to be honest anymore than that is excessively wasteful.

AA is only needed at low resolutions, such as 1024x768 or under. The higher the resolution the less you need any AA. I use 1600x1200 without AA and everything is perfect.

Don`t worry about AA, and you will get higher FPS, much higher.

I wouldn`t fo for ATI, Nvidia are still my first choice.

Indeed. EVE ran 1280 with no aliasing issues at all, and any such issues would be considerably less noticable on < 19" screens anyway.

There is if you have a really good quality and sharp 21" monitor 8) .

But no. I never bother with AA.

My monitor runs at 75hz on 1600*1200 and it looks fine to my eyes. The monitor is getting on a bit but its still got a great picture. AA is just pointless at 1600*1200 cos it looks great anyway.

Yeh but my monitor is crap :P
And your right, AA is pretty pointless at high resolutions

Anybody know of a good deal on a 9800 non pro before I go ahead and order from dabs?
