    Exactly.

Longest I've ever waited for anything from dvdbx (usually take 5-7 days max) and I just assumed, like everyone else, that it's the crappy london postal strike business. Not too fussed, it'll turn up.

I'm all the way out at the end of the Met line, but still no sign of my Reloaded yet. DVDBO are being rather horribly slow right now.

This seems like a good thread:

What can you do if someone has sent you something, but it hasn't arrived.

Someone on this forum sent me some cash through the post for a game, but it still hasn't arrived, about a week after it was sent 1st class...

What can we do to resolve this situation?

I'm the one nips is talking about.

I probably should have sent it recorded, but this is patheitc. I shouldn't have to in the first place.

            Grr!

Granted, it was only ?10, and a ?1.50 cheque (why oh why didn't I just use a cheque!?).

Is there anyway I can claim back on it? Although I can't prove I sent it. :|

It's only insured to the value that was written on the back of the slip, not an automatic ?28. If that's not on there then they'll point and laugh at you in he post office.

The RM dont insure money if sent by Recorded delivery. You can get insurance cover for sending money, but you have to use special delivery.

btw a lot of people automatically assume that recorded delivery offers insurance above, and beyond that of first class. Be warned, it doesn't.

The extra 60 odd pence charge is for a signature on arrival...nothing else.

My last order from DVDBO took longer than usual to arrive, only got it a few days ago despite it being sent a few weeks ago.

Inside the package was a note saying (to paraphrase); let us know when this package arrives as we're monitoring our postal service.

So clearly they're a bit concerned about lead times at the moment, which can only be a good thing.

                    Regards
                    Marty

Got my US NTSC Joe this morning (with wee hat).
I'm up north near Newcastle if that's any help to anyone still waiting.

Might have something to do with HM customs perhaps?
