USB2.0 support on XP without SP1?

I have USB2.0 ports on my PC but they aren't supported in my version of XP, I can't upgrade to service pack 1 which supports them so are there any specific drivers that will let me use USB2.0 without SP1?

I did try one on Intel's site but it didn't work

Dare I ask why you can't use SP1?

Pm me your email addy and I'll send you the MS USB2.0 Hotfix sometime tonight.
Should work fine on XP vanilla.

Well first off I don't have a net connection sorted out yet and not sure how long it will take to get it, secondly my copy of XP has been 'slightly modified' and apparently SP1 won't work with it.

It's not a pirate copy, its perfectly legitimate - it just has no activation code thats all.

What version of XP is legit with no activation code? I've got a corporate license that has no activation code and I can use SP1 fine.
