Yet another I'm building a PC topic

?600 limit ( don't need OS, keyboard, mouse, display or speakers).

Mostly for gaming. Needs to be Intel.

Been out the game for many years. What should I be looking for?

    Thanks!

Bang on budget. Very powerful upper mid range system that should play everything on max.

if your resolution is below 1080p you can save ?20 by getting the 1gb version (it'll literally provide no performance boost at all at lower reses)

That does look like a nice system I think i'll concur with that. Should you need an optical drive you can get a good brand DVDRW+ etc for under ?15 shipped.

Thanks. Been doing some investigating. That ram is 1600MHz but the m/board only supports up to 1333MHz. Also the M/board only has 2 ram slots and only does sata II. I think I'll go for the asus board with 4 slots and 6Gbs sata 3 support. That processor looks like the best one to get though.

I've specced this out on scan:

OK, GFX card choice is proving to be a nightmare. Let's say I'm prepared to spend ?100 to ?150 on a card. The card should excel at gaming but it would also be nice if it worked well in a hackintosh environment and supported OpenCL. Help me out guys!

            This seems reasonably upto date

Thanks dude. Sadly it hasn't been updated to reflect modern ATI gfx cards or ASUS motherboards so it's not a lot of use at the moment.
