Power Charge: Japanese Nintendo DSi LL + Australian non-LL DSi AC Adaptor = Possible?

I have a small history of asking power/voltage/adaptor/adapter/charging related questions on the Internet, and this thread is no different due to the conflicting "information" when searched on Google. And due to not wanting to blow anything up.

I'll try to make things clear and simple.

    Here's the situation:

    1) I have a Japanese Nintendo DSi LL console.
    2) I have a Japanese DSi LL AC Adaptor/power charger (rated 110v).
    3) I have an Australian DSi (non-LL/XL version) AC Adaptor (rated 230-240v, same voltage as UK devices).
    4) The USB port on the DSi LL is non-standard and the USB cables I have cannot be connected to it (so I can't charge the DSi LL/XL console using my computer).
    5) Due to point 4 above, Nintendo DS Phat/Lite/Non-LL DSi AC Adaptors from any region are physically not compatible with LL/XL DSi Consoles.

Here's the question: Is it possible to charge my Japanese Nintendo DSi LL/XL using an Australian non-LL/XL DSi AC Adaptor?

If not, what are my options, considering the facts?

Note: You can replace the word "Australian" with "UK" and the question would still be the same and the answer to the question would still be suitable for my situation.

    OK, three points:-

    1) Nintendo has never used USB ports for charging, so you can forget about USB.

    2) For any charger the most important part to check is that the power output matches the power requirements of the device its charging (Although you obviously also need to confirm that the plug shape and power input specs are the same as the country your using it in)

All Nintendo handhelds that are the same model have the same power requirements worldwide (e.g. A Japanese DSi has the same power requirements as an Australian DSi) It is the charger that adapts the different countries voltage for the handheld, so Nintendo just packs different chargers in the box for each region.

    3) So far Nintendo has used four different chargers for seven different handhelds. Here are their model numbers along with the handhelds they can be used on:-
AGS-002 / NTR-002 - Game Boy Advance SP and original Nintendo DS
    OXY-002 - Game Boy Micro
    USG-002 - Nintendo DS Lite
WAP-002 - Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DSi LL/XL and Nintendo 3DS

So what all this means is that an official Australian Nintendo DSi charger can be used to charge a Nintendo DSi LL/XL from any region (Or even a Nintendo 3DS!)

Interesting point. I also just realised an interesting observation: Even though I it was possible, I have never charged any DS with a USB cable before... With PSP yes, but not with DS.

I wonder why there is no Nintendo officially-supported DS USB Charger?

Thanks for the confident response (confident answers are needed when an electronic device's life is at stake) - my DSi LL is now charging.
