    QUICK HELP REQ. PLZ - Laptop to Old Sound System setup

    I just recently got an old Sony Stereo that has CD/Tape/MD out of the attic and more importantly, it has two fookoff speakers that produce excellent bass and sound quality.

    At the moment I only have it setup to my PS3 by using the component cable and am listening to music from the new MP3 player I bought also recently for ?3.80!

    I'd really like to get the sound from both, but ultimately through my laptop.

    I think I just need a 3.5mm Jack to RCA red, white, yellow cable right?

    Lol, you don't need composite video.

    But yeah, you need a 3.5mm to rca cable.

      What are the differations i.e. adaptors etc? I'm sure I have something in my house to do it.

      And I think I have one of them somewhere. Surely that would work?
