PSP: Uk 3000 charger on Japanese 1000?

Hello, a quick question. I have a Japanese original phat model. Will a psp 3000 charger be ok to use with my japanese psp phat?

    Cheers,
    Dan.

Well, I have an original phat charger and it's centre positive rated at 5V and 2A.

Pretty sure all are the same. We use the same chargers for all machines at work.

Yeah, they all seem to have the same rating looking at Google.

Makes me wonder why I can't charge my PSP1000 via USB then..

@speed: What USB charger are you using? I have a Logic 3 one that has worked fine with both my PSPs(1000 and 2000). I assume you're not trying to charge it from the PSP's USB port...

What I mean is, the PSP3000 charges from the USB port. As does the Go I believe.

All PSP PSU's work on any 1-3000 unit. PSP Go! has it's own proprietry connector, which is used for charging and connection to other devices, so in theory can ONLY charge via USB. Unless you connect it to the official dock, in which case it can also charge via a 1-3000 series PSU. 3000's can charge via PSU or USB.
                Kept you waiting, huh?
