Silver US PS2

I'm tempted to get a US PS2 due to the recent neglect on behalf of Sony in the UK, with many games either not been releaseed at all, huge differences in release schedules and poor conversions. I'm after the new Model SCPH 5000, but I can't seem to find it in the silver finish like over here. BTW I'm not a fan of having things chipped I'd rather buy the console from the territory I want to play games from.

Will the US PS2 be available in Silver anytime soon?

Plus where is the cheapest SCPH5000 in black available from?

The US one is 'quietly' getting released this month I believe. So as far I know we don't have it yet. If it is out, I guess there are some places that export to the UK, unfortunately I'm not one of them.

I am also looking for it... but then again i think i'll be better of with a modded pal one since i am one of the few (and very brave) who use the PS2 as a dvdplayer :P I'll probably buy a modded one of will@londonconsole at the end of this month if i can afford it.

Maybe Che could fill you in more about what is happening.
