Hi. A friend of mine wanted to know weather Border Down would run on the DC using a Utopia Disc. I pressume it would but i just wanted to check.

Well, I would imagine the same way playing Ikaruga is messed up when you use the Utopia. Music is slightly off, and the game will obviously play slower.

ok I`m playing it on a chipped pal DC. But is it 60hz?

I play Border Down and Ikaruga useing a Utopia Disc and they work fine.

But certainly not as they are supposed to.

Go buy a DC-X disc and see how the games are actually meant to run.

TotU is right. Playing imports at 50hz just isn't right, both technically and aesthetically.

Yep, Utopia disc definitely plays Ikaruga at a slower speed. I was shocked when I tried it on my mate's PAL machine via Utopia after playing it on my Japanese DC.

Of course. It's a technical fact. 50Hz is slower than 60hz.

I prefer a JAP DC

But of course the DC-X gets used when I have rare go on a PAL or US game (Bought the DC-X when I only had a PAL DC).
