Ryu vs Ryu on the original Street Fighter II was the greatest trick I could show off. My player of choice was Chun Li and she is need for the trick so that makes it all the better 8)

When playing as Chun Li get to Ryu's stage and let the second round timer run down with Ryu as the winner (he has to hit you more times).
When the continue screen come up hit start (you need an extra credit) and just select Ryu. Ryu vs Ryu!
This does not work on any home version though including Capcom Generation5/Street Fighter Collection 2

hi all...cool post about the sf2 hacks....there were alot there i didnt know about ....the ones i did know about referred to GUILE and his invisible throw..i thought id add a few bits for anyone who was still interested . The invisible throw could be used mutiple times, not just as one throw....the way to do it was power up a sonic boom...the make sure you were within fierce kick ducking range...then u had 2 choices of ways to do it ....either push towards your opponent then immediately back/away from your opponent then straight after u pushed away .. push the fierce kick immediately followed by fierce punch OR alternatively...power up sonic boom...push forwards/ towards your opponent( within fierce ducking sweep range ) ..then a mini second after u walked towards your opponent push fierce kick followed by fierce punch...the timing on this baby was tricky but this was the key to multiple inivisible throws.
To do multiple invisible throws......the easiest way i found to do this was to jump in and immeditiatley hold back for a sonic boom....as you are in the air ( while holding back still ) hit a fierce punch or kick...as u land push towards opponent for a split second then away from opponent immediately followed by fierce kick then fierce punch immediately..u should if timed right get your 1st invisible throw in....at this stage your joystick should be facing away from your opponent , from the invisible throw u just completed ( thus powering up your next sonic boom )..now ( as they fall from the 1st throw ) walk towards your opponent for a split second and push fierce kick followed immediately by fierce punch ...if timed the 2nd invisible throw will hit ( pulling the opponent back towards you ) ...you will propably at this stage be walking towards your opponent ( thus powering up your next throw ) wait a split second then walk away from your opponent and a split second after press fierce kick followed immediately with fierce punch. It sounds complicated ..and to be honest you will need a joystick to do it properly ( joypads not advised )..but i used to regularly wipe opponets out without even laying a hand on them..which lead to many bust ups in the local arcades ..
There also was another trick which seemed to work on only some versions of the game which we called Up the screen throw................basically on some machines it would reset them others it would work. Get close to your opponent ( throw range ) ...power up a flash kick...now push up and hard punch immediately folowed by hard kick...this would either reset the machine OR depending on the version start the up the screen throw...you would hold the opponent in a frozen position .( like the handcuff throw )..and go up through the top of the screen and then appear at the bottom and then fly up through the top of the screen again..and so on.......the only way to get out of this was to execute an invisible throw ...u could even perform multiple invisible throws as u would always usually land before your opponent......this hack was amazingly funny to perform if your opponent didnt know about it ...they would be like WTF...just make sure its not a version of sf2 that resets as u perfrom the throw otherwise your opponent might get a little pissed .............for anyone out there who used the guile hacks ..it was always funny when the handcuff hack got executed then u couldnt get the invisble throw out before the time ran out ...thus meaning the machine had to be reset ..and thus meaning you would have to pretend to your opponent who had just lost all their credits, that u didnt know what the hell happened ...happy gaming fellas..ps who remembers the SHENG LONG myth
