psp cfw question - please help

looking to get some emulators up and running on my psp - mods delete if inappropriate

I have the following;

psp slim and lite 3000 white and sitting on OFW 6.20

quick question ----

I am looking to install Pro B9 but unsure of wich 'g' my psp corresponds to;

if its up to '6g' i can install 6.20 Pro B9 as i'm on OFW 6.20

OR...

should i update to OFW 6.39 and then install 6.39 Pro B9?

below is the list


1.6.20 Pro B9 ? 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g
2.6.35 Pro B9 ? 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g,7g,9g
3.6.39 Pro B9 ? 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g,7g,9g
4.6.60 Pro B9 - 1g,2g,3g,4g,5g,6g,7g,9g,11g a.k.a PSP E1000( not yet tested )

I know this doesn't help, but why would you install Pro B9, rather than 6.39 ME? I don't know much about PSP stuff, admittely.

Yeah, get 6.39 ME.

I use 6.60 Pro-B9 on a PSP-3000, it's basically perfect.
