Howdy ya'll, bit of a two-pronged question here.
My father does his own tax/VAT using an ancient disk-based version of Quicken '98, but the archaic P.C he is using is giving up the ghost a bit, so he wanted to upgrade the software and change the hardware to something that he can sit and do in the living room on his lap - like a netbook.
Now first problem is Quicken don't make a UK version anymore and any and all attempts to find a UK version have failed! So he's wondering if there is a similar suitable program that doesn't cost the earth that he can either transfer his account to from Quicken, or worse case scenario start from scratch on - with a Quicken-like interface?
Secondly he is wondering if he could use this new VAT program on a netbook, or if it would require a laptop to run well?
Cheers in advance
