Getting a green screen with import PS2

Yesterday I swapped my PAL PS2 for an American premodded version, and running through the same RGB cable as before, the screen is now displaying in green.

I can get around this by either pulling the cable out slightly or plugging it in a non-rgb socket, but obviously I lose some of the picture quality.

My other import consoles run fine, so this is ps2 specific.

Isn't there an RGB setting in the set up menu on PS2s?

I don't own a PS2, but while you're waiting for a better reply, the display mode is set to RGB in the system options, right? And not YpPrPb?
