If you've bought Region A (Japan/America) Blu-Ray discs before and you own a UK (Region B) PS3 console, what was your success rate?
Although America and Japan share the same region, I'm particularly interested in the Japanese Blu-Rays such as Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete which I'm waiting for, and according to some sources on the internet, is region free.
Apparently, even if a Blu-Ray is marked Region A, there are cases where in reality, it is really Region Free/All (can be played on all PS3s). So in this case, I think it's similar to Xbox 360 games where it is up to the developer or publisher to determine the region coding of the media.
I currently own an Australian PS3 console (Region B) but might consider swapping to a US one.
