Hooking up PS3 slim to Sony TFT flat screen monitor, advice?

    Hi guys,

The title of the thread say's it all really. So, what cable/s do I need? Any tips on good not too expensive ones?

    Thanks in advance!

      DVI-D and HD15. What's the difference? Cheers

One is digital, one is analog. I presume HD15 is VGA.

Basically, the PS3 doesn't natively output VGA so going digital would be the smarter thing to do as well as being more cost effective.

Awesome thanks... but how do I get sound after I hook it up? My monitor has no sound sockets... so I'm a tad confused. Thanks

You need an external amp, which you'll hook up via optical or RCA.
            Kept you waiting, huh?

Sorry, is there an optical input/output on the PS3? What is an RCA? I'm not very technical I'm afraid! Cheers.

There is an optical out. RCA is the red and white plugs on the composite cable.
