Old PS3 to new PS3 memory transfer...

I have no idea what to do here... Got a new 250GB PS3 (Pal) and would like to transfer everything from my launch 60GB (JPN) unit to it.

Can I do this?

Are there risks?

Is it easy?

Any help appreciated.

Easy, there's a built-in function for it. PAL eh? all your games will have X and O swapped now.

Oh really... Yes I just tested it and the X - O swap immediately annoyed me.

Well the data has transferred across but is it locked? I will find out tomorrow because I am too tired to do it now. The transfer took 4 hours in the end...

Everything that was on the 60GB HDD, will now be on the 250GB one. You will have to activate your accounts to get the locked stuff running, and remember to deactivate the ones on the 60GB before you reformat it too.
